By using Thedose’s Digital Dose Coach (DDC), you agree to the collection, processing, and use of your personal and sensitive data for the purpose of personalized microdosing support, education, and self-development.

We are committed to respecting your privacy, your data rights, and ensuring that your data is handled responsibly.

 

2. What We Collect 

 

2.1. Standard Data

We collect the following non-sensitive information:

  Your unique identifier (user id and email)

  Motivation and intention statements you provide

  Interaction logs (such as onboarding steps completed)

  Consent confirmations and timestamps

  User behavior (e.g., which features you use, audio played)

 

 

2.2. Sensitive Data 

 We also collect sensitive personal data that may reflect your:

  Mental or emotional state (e.g. mood, depression, anxiety, motivation level)

  Health-related experiences (e.g. sleep quality, stress level)

  Substance use (e.g. microdosing logs, substance and dosage)

  Reflections or personal challenges (if entered during journaling or check-ins)

 

This sensitive data is explicitly  and only collected if you voluntarily provide it.*

*(the DDC might not work properly if data is not available)

3. How Your Data Is Used

 

Your data is used to:

  Tailor your microdosing journey with personalized guidance

  Generate relevant AI coaching and content recommendations

  Track your progress and provide meaningful feedback

  Ensure safe and effective use of microdosing practices

  Improve the quality and experience of the DDC platform

 

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

 

Our legal basis under GDPR is:

  Consent (Article 6.1.a and 9.2.a GDPR): You explicitly consent to our processing of both standard and sensitive data for the purposes stated above.

5. Data Storage and Retention

 

  Your data is stored securely on GDPR-compliant infrastructure.

  Sensitive data is anonymized for analytics where possible.

  You may request deletion or export of your personal data at any time.

  We retain your data only for as long as necessary to support your journey or until you withdraw consent.

You have the right to:

  Access your data

  Correct inaccurate data

  Withdraw consent at any time

  Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)

  Object to processing

  Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

  Visiting your user dashboard (coming soon)

Upon withdrawal, your data will be deactivated or deleted in accordance with GDPR.

9. Data Processors Used in the Digital Dose Coach (DDC) 

To provide our services, we work with trusted third-party data processors. These processors only access your data as necessary to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated to handle your information securely and in compliance with GDPR.

We currently use the following processors:

Processor Agreements 

We maintain Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all our processors. These contracts include:

  Limitation of use strictly to DDC services

  Encryption of personal and sensitive data

  Adherence to GDPR principles and technical safeguards

  Support for data deletion and export upon request

Special Note on OpenAI 

Our integration with OpenAI is designed to minimize exposure:

  No names, user IDs, or identifiable metadata is sent

  Only anonymized motivational and emotional data is used as context

  Prompts are not permanently stored or reused
