March 17, 2003 The Stone Institute Dear Stone Institute, My apartment is being fumigated the week of March 17th. I'm taking this as an opportunity to take a much needed vacation. Unfortunately I cannot take my beloved Noogie with me on my trip. I found this out the hard way on my last vacation where I was forced to part with Noogie(I) at airport security. Well, I am not taking any chances with Noogie(II) to whom I have grown even closer. So you can imagine my glee when I overheard someone on the train talking about your wonderful free service right here in Newton. I cringe at the thought of Noogie staying locked up in the apartment with all those dangerous fumes. But I will be able to enjoy my vacation worry-free knowing that he is safe and secure in your residences, subjecting him to some mostly harmless tests while in your temporary care. Enclosed please find Noogie, and a short progress report. If you mail Noogie back to me on March 21 that should coincide perfectly with my return home. Thank you Stone Institute for your incredible care and service. I look forward to hearing from you soon and to seeing my Noogie again! Regards, Rudy Schumann |
