Health Benefits of Lion's Mane

Cognitive and heart

Lion's Mane

Neuroprotection, cognition, brain function, inflammation, heart health*

Looking to keep a sharp mind and protect you neuro-biology? Lion’s mane might have benefits of interest to you!

Lion’s mane is often called the “smart mushroom” as studies suggest that active components in lion’s mane have neuroprotective properties that help your neurons/brain cells repair and grow. Which by many is experienced by improved cognitive function.

Some studies even argue that the lion’s mane can promote neurite - which is the process of a neuron (brain cell)  growing into new connections. This process can be important in preventing or even reversing the neuro-degenerative damage happening from illnesses such as Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis or Dementia.

Lion’s mane and microdosing

Many people choose to combine their microdosing with lion’s mane, as it is reported to have a synergistic effect between the neuroplastic stimulation from psilocybin, and the promotion of neural growth from lion’s mane. This combination of lion’s mane, psilocybin - and niacin (a B3 vitamin) is also referred to as the Stamets Stack, named after Paul Stamets, the famous mycologist, who advocate for this combination. ( the*dose lion’s mane product contains niacin, thus making it the perfect product for people who want to work with the Stamets Stack.)

Research also suggests that lion’s mane might help wounds heal faster, reduce inflammation and improve the health of our heart.

One of our all-time favorites! The Lion's mane mushroom! Also called "The smart mushroom" or "The priest of the mountains". In Japan, this mushroom has been used for centuries for its purported mental support and restorative effects. A truly special sight when you meet him in the woods, hanging from a tree stump. What makes Lion's mane so special? The ericenones and erinacins (alkaloids present in Lion's mane) ensure that the body stimulates the production of the body's own substance NGF. NGF stands for nerve growth factor. NGF is required for the growth of certain neurons in our brain. It also plays a role in myelination. A process that provides signal transmission through the nerves. The Foodsporen® Lion's mane capsules are, like all our products, made from the fruit bodies of this special mushroom. We do not use the mycelium that is grown on grain. In this way we can offer you a fair, powerful and pure product. We think exactly what you deserve! In addition, all our extracts, including the Foodsporen® Lion's mane capsules, are standardized to no less than 30% polysaccharides!

The container (the jar) in which you will receive your capsules is made of high quality MIRON® Violetglass and is completely reusable. MIRON glass protects the product against harmful UV radiation, so that the nutrients in the capsules remain optimally protected and the shelf life significantly improves! The jar is also dishwasher safe!
