Praying Mantis
artist comments: An obvious commentary on the symbiotic yet turbulent relationship between man, nature and religion. One of my earlier works which took 3 weeks to complete.
inspiration: the Discovery Channel

Firm and Round
artist comments: Physical desires abound in this lustful piece. The unorthodox use of two clips represents the intertwining of the carnal and the cerebral. The thinking man's sex machine.

Point Break
artist comments: Sloping curves and a generous use of white-space call the casual viewer to wonder if this is really art and if any talent is even required.
inspiration: Keanu Reeves

Remote Control (subtitle: Get Me a Beer Beeatch)
artist comments: Technology meets Sloth. This piece silently mocks you, leaving you to feel as if you are the one to blame.

Being and Time
artist comments: Deceivingly simple, this profound piece brings us back to the womb where we are asked to re-examine the meaning of our own existence and vulnerability in the brutal gemeinschaft of today's modern world.
inspiration: Plato, Marx, Heidegger

Whipper-Snapper
artist comments: Originally entitled "An American's Vacation in Singapore" this piece spoke of something completely different by the time it was finished... social injustices against the elderly.
inspiration: Ms. Hom

Citadel
artist comments: It's not so much what this piece says, but what it doesn't say that's important. The pre-baroque style (sans flying buttresses) is quite deliberate. Despite its arrogance, you can't help but attempt to befriend this lesson in structure.

Woman Reclining on a Blanket with a Bowl of Fruit
artist comments: It always pays to work with good models. As evidenced here, it really shows in the finished product.
